Risk Manager Jobs

Often reporting in to a quality manager, risk management jobs involve being responsible for providing risk management guidance and support in the development of risk management policies and procedures in order to protect business interests. HSEQ considerations, policies, procedures, implementation and monitoring both internally and externally are key to minimising and managing risk. A risk manager will usually work in conjunction with the internal health and safety team, HR, Finance, Information Technology, Estates & Facilities, and external contractors to achieve this aim. Therefore, solid influencing and interpersonal skills are essential.

Typically, risk management jobs involve participation in staff training and reporting regularly to a Board. Knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 14001, 18001 and membership to the Institute of Risk Management is often required. The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) is risk management's leading international professional education and training body.
